Stained Glass Window

you were standing there
behind the stained glass window
watching my steps
watching my moves
i couldn't help but freeze
with your cold, cold stare
blood flowing thru my arteries and veins
seemed to steady their motion
as time ticks and flies
my breath is taken away
maybe by you, but maybe not
i am simply blown and stunned
you are indeed watching me
like a master looking closely at his sordid craft
somehow, it feels like your hands molded me
to be strong enough to stand
in this pavement of strangers
but at the same time
to love enough and be weak
for i can no longer look back
with the same boldness you have taught me
and i can never have the force
to help me muster my courage
and step within the border
which you, or perhaps i
have built thru these years
ah, the stained glass window
has blinded the both of us
has kept us so far
and how many more years of
silence and stares shall kill me?
i never dared.
